"The Old Timer" Jeff King Height: 5'11" Finisher: Bear Hug Pro Debut: Claims 1967, but there are no records of such until the year 2000 Jeff King started off well enough in Hybrid Pro Wrestling, seen as a young, promising grappler who was a lifelong follower of the sport. It was known that King went so far as to watch wrestlers from well before his time, admiring the likes of Nick Bockwinkel, Pat O'Connor, Danny Hodge, and Ox Baker. He learned the mental and physical aspect of the sport from those that came before him, developing a technical base that set him apart from the rest of the flock of young wrestlers today. That, however, all turned into something else after his first HPW match. After he and his partner, Jonny Lawless, lost an HPW Tag Team Championship qualifier match to Popular Electronics, King was momentarily knocked out, and when he awoke, his personality adapted into that of his idols. Proclaiming himself to be the "Old Timer", Jeff King mentally advanced several decades, acting as a grizzled veteran who claims to have been up and down the territories. King faced off against his former "young protegé" Jonny Lawless at Phase: One, but King continued to preach his old school ways, this time targeting Magnum Conroy. After adopting the Camel Clutch as his new signature manuever, King started teaching humility to his opponents, and vowed to break the back of Magnum Conroy. King fell to the powerhouse, Conroy, at Raising The Bar, but the loss didn't affect King's verbal tirades, as he then declared that he was "holding back" the most dangerous move known to grapplers everwhere: the Bear Hug!
